Back Base as a Base Backer!
We started Base in 2016 to answer a need for outstanding, accessible creative space in Seattle. At that time, we were just beginning to feel the effects of the city's rapid development. Today, the unintended consequences of Seattle's breakneck growth are a well-documented, endlessly talked-about stressor across the arts community and well beyond.
Become a Base Backer to help us share this extraordinary space with the artists of our region and beyond. Fuel 12 Minutes Max, the Base Occasional, and the new work continuing to emerge against all odds. Tell Seattle artists you've got their back by helping preserve our low rehearsal and performance rental rates!
When you give at:
$10/month, you’re helping us remain affordable to artists renting Base by the hour. Your recurring gift helps make up the difference between our low hourly rates and what we spend each month just to keep our doors open.
$25/month means you’re helping underwrite 12 Minutes Max, the beloved performance exhibition originated by On the Boards in the ‘80s. Your monthly contribution of $25 helps cover production costs and—for the first time ever—stipends for community curators and performers.
$50/month, you’re making it possible for artists to self-produce performances through our Base Independent program. The only way we can make resources like our lights, sound system, video and live-streaming equipment affordable to independent artists is through community support.
$100/month, you join the Circle of Support—a group of donors who helped bring Base into existence. Without the Circle of Support, the Base Residency program wouldn’t be possible. When you join the Circle of Support, you make all-access, multi-week residencies, technical support and honoraria available to a new cohort of artists every year.
